Sell Digital Products From Your Link in Bio: 3 Setups

Nov 2, 2026

You can sell digital products from your link in bio in three ways: a built-in store like Stan Store ($29 a month, no platform fee), a no-cost account that takes a cut of each sale (Beacons Free 9%, Linktree Free 12%), or a page that links to your own checkout. A flat fee costs less than a 9% cut once you sell more than about $322 a month.

Linkero is our own tool, a paid link-in-bio page builder. It appears below as part of the third setup, and it has no store or checkout of its own.

How do you sell digital products from a link in bio?

Every setup puts one link in your Instagram, TikTok or X (formerly Twitter) bio. What changes is where the sale happens and who takes a share of it.

  • A built-in store. Stan Store runs the checkout for your ebooks, templates and courses for a flat monthly price and takes 0% of each sale.
  • A no-cost account that takes a cut. Beacons Free and Linktree Free let you sell with nothing up front, then keep a percentage of every sale.
  • A page plus your own checkout. The bio page and the payment live in different tools. The page links to a checkout you already run, and the page builder takes nothing from the sale.

If you are not yet sure you need a store at all, our breakdown of link-in-bio stores versus aggregators settles that question first.

What does each setup cost in fees?

Take a $20 ebook. The table shows what each platform keeps per month at 10 and 50 sales. Rates come from each vendor's pricing page as last verified in our fact ledger: Linktree's fee ladder on 30 September 2026 (its Pro price last read in USD on 2 July 2026), Beacons on 14 August 2026 and Stan Store on 4 September 2026. All three pricing pages were still live when we checked them on 29 October 2026.

Setup10 sales ($200)50 sales ($1,000)
Linktree Free (12%)$24$120

Beacons Free (9%)9% of $200$90
Stan Store Creator ($29 flat, 0%)$29$29

Payment processing applies on top in every setup and is left out of every row; on Linktree, for example, Stripe charges 2.9% + $0.30 per purchase on every plan.

Stan's $29 flat fee costs less than Linktree Free's 12% once you sell more than about $242 a month ($29 ÷ 0.12), and less than a 9% cut above about $322 a month ($29 ÷ 0.09). Below those lines, the percentage fee is the cheaper deal.

Which link in bio tools can you sell digital products from?

These are the tools that sell for you, plus the two page-only routes, with what each one charges and where it stops.

  1. Stan Store (stan.store). Built for selling: storefront, digital products, courses, bookings, subscriptions and lead magnets on the $29-a-month Creator plan, with a 0% platform fee on both plans (verified 4 September 2026). Its main limit is the URL: Stan supports no custom domain, so your link stays stan.store/yourusername. Our Stan Store pricing breakdown covers the $99 Creator Pro tier too.
  2. Beacons (beacons.ai). The Free plan includes unlimited digital products and takes 9% on sales; Creator is $10 a month with the same 9%; Creator Plus is $30 a month at 0% (verified 14 August 2026). You connect your own Stripe or PayPal account, and direct sales settle instantly. See Beacons pricing and its 9% plans for every tier.
  3. Linktree (linktr.ee). Digital products and courses on every plan, at 12% on Free, 9% on both Starter and Pro, and 0% on Premium at $35 a month (fees verified 30 September 2026, prices 2 July 2026). Like Stan, it keeps you on its own URL (linktr.ee/yourname) with no custom domain.
  4. Lnk.Bio. A built-in shop for digital products, physical products and services, paid out through Stripe Connect or PayPal (verified 21 August 2026). Lnk.Bio publishes no platform sales fee, so check before you assume it is zero.
  5. Carrd (carrd.co). A single-page website tool with no store and no checkout, so it charges no seller fee. You embed a third-party checkout widget, which needs the $19-a-year Pro Standard plan or higher (verified 12 August 2026).
  6. Linkero. Linkero, a link-in-bio page builder, has no store, checkout or digital-product delivery. You add a Button block that points at your own checkout, a Form block to collect buyers' emails, and social icons for Ko-fi, Patreon or Buy Me A Coffee, and Linkero keeps no share of what you sell or promote from the page. Our Stan Store vs Linkero comparison shows where each one fits.

What is a good Stan Store alternative for selling from a link in bio?

Beacons, as long as your sales stay under the break-even. Beacons Free costs less than Stan's Creator plan until your sales pass about $322 a month, and Beacons Creator ($10 a month plus 9%) costs less until they pass about $211.

Above roughly $333 a month, a Beacons seller is better off moving to the $30 Creator Plus plan with 0% fees, a $1 gap to Stan Creator. At that point price stops deciding it and features take over, which our Beacons vs Stan Store comparison walks through.

Pick Stan Store if selling is the core of your business and you already clear those lines: courses, bookings, subscriptions and lead magnets sit in one checkout with no cut.

How do you sell an ebook without high platform fees?

Match the fee type to your volume. At 10 copies of a $20 ebook a month ($200 in sales), Beacons Free keeps 9% of the $200, Linktree Free keeps $24 and Stan Store charges its flat $29, so the percentage cut wins and Beacons Free is the lowest of the three.

At 50 copies ($1,000), the order flips. Stan Store still costs $29, while Beacons Free takes $90 and Linktree Free takes $120. A flat fee is the low-fee choice once an ebook sells steadily.

The third route moves the fee question to your checkout tool. Linkero takes nothing from the sale, so your cost is your Linkero plan plus whatever your checkout service charges; read that service's own pricing page before you compare it with the rows above. Tag the checkout link with our UTM builder so you can see which post sold each copy, and put a Form block above it to collect buyers' emails for the next launch.

How do you sell products on Linktree?

Linktree sells digital products and courses through its own checkout on every plan, with Stripe processing the payment. Free keeps 12% of each sale, Starter and Pro keep 9%, and Premium keeps 0% (linktr.ee/s/pricing, 30 September 2026); our Linktree pricing guide shows what each plan costs.

Selling physical stock is a different setup with shipping and catalog links, covered in our link in bio for ecommerce guide.

FAQ

Do link in bio tools take a cut of sales?

Many do. Linktree keeps 12% on Free and 9% on its Starter and Pro plans, and Beacons keeps 9% on Free and Creator. Stan Store takes 0% on both plans, Linktree Premium and Beacons Creator Plus take 0%, and Linkero takes no cut because it has no checkout. Payment processing applies in every case.

Is Stan Store free to sell?

No. Stan Store has no unpaid tier: the Creator plan costs $29 a month or $300 a year (verified 4 September 2026). In return it takes a 0% platform fee, so you pay only Stripe or PayPal processing on each sale.

Is Beacons free to sell?

Yes, with a cut. Beacons Free includes unlimited digital products and keeps 9% of each sale, plus Stripe or PayPal processing (verified 14 August 2026). The platform fee drops to 0% once you pay $30 a month for Creator Plus.

Which setup should you start with?

Open last month's sales total before you pick. Under about $242 a month, sell from Beacons Free and keep the flat fee for later. Over about $322 a month, Stan Store's $29 Creator plan keeps more of each sale. If you want your own domain on the page and already run a checkout you like, build the page in Linkero and point its Button block at that checkout: you sell digital products from your link in bio, and the page takes nothing from the sale.
