The verdict up front. If you are not selling anything, Free does the job and Creator at $10 buys you a custom domain and branding removal. If you are selling, stop comparing subscriptions and compare fees: the jump from Creator to Creator Plus costs $20 a month and wipes out a 9% commission, which pays for itself at about $222 of monthly sales. Creator Max is a $90 tier for a narrow audience, and most people who look at it do not need it.

Prices below were verified on the Beacons pricing page on 2026-07-27. Note that the plan names are Free, Creator, Creator Plus, and Creator Max. Older names (Creator Pro, Store Pro, Business Pro) are retired, and a lot of third-party roundups still quote them alongside stale numbers.

Free, $0. A customizable link in bio, a daily-updating media kit, unlimited digital products, affiliate links, 30 AI credits per day, and 50 email sends per month. Sales carry a 9% fee.

Creator, $10/month or $100/year. Annual works out to $8.33 a month. It adds a free custom domain, 300 daily AI credits, 500 email sends a month, advanced SEO controls, and Beacons branding removal. The 9% fee stays.

Creator Plus, $30/month or $300/year. Annual works out to $25 a month. This is the tier where the seller fee goes to zero. It also adds unlimited AI credits, unlimited email sends, 100% of your affiliate commissions, Buy Now Pay Later checkout, and unlimited courses with video hosting plus unlimited memberships.

Creator Max, $90/month or $900/year. Annual works out to $75 a month. It adds Google Workspace, white-glove onboarding, prioritized support, a physical NFC card, and VIP event access.

What do you get on the Beacons free plan?

More than most free tiers, with one limit that is widely misreported.

The free plan gives you the link-in-bio page, the media kit, unlimited digital products, and affiliate links. You can genuinely sell on it, which is unusual. What you do not get is branding removal, a custom domain, or fee-free checkout.

The email allowance on Free is 50 sends per month, not 250. That figure changed, and third-party comparison pages have not caught up. Fifty sends is a handful of messages to a small list, not an email tool. AI credits are capped at 30 a day, which is roughly a few generations rather than a working assistant. If email is central to your business, read the reliability issues creators have reported with Beacons email before you build a list there at any tier.

How much does Beacons take per sale?

Nine percent on Free and Creator. Zero on Creator Plus and Creator Max.

This is a platform fee, charged on top of the payment processor's cut (Stripe's is around 2.9% + $0.30 and goes to Stripe, not Beacons). The arithmetic is one division: the price gap between two tiers, divided by the fee rate you are escaping.

From Free to Creator Plus. You pay $30 a month to stop paying 9%. The breakeven is $30 ÷ 0.09, or about $333 in monthly sales. Below that, staying on Free is cheaper even with the commission.

From Creator to Creator Plus. This is the upgrade most people are actually weighing, and the gap is only $20 because you are already paying $10. That puts the breakeven near $222 in monthly sales. Above it, Creator Plus is strictly cheaper than Creator, and it stays cheaper forever, because the fee grows with your revenue and the subscription does not.

Two caveats. Only revenue that flows through Beacons counts: a Gumroad checkout or an invoice you send by hand is not being taxed, so it does not push you toward the upgrade. And the fee is charged on gross sales, not profit, which matters if you sell anything with a cost of goods attached.

What does Creator Max add, and who is it for?

Honestly, not many people. Creator Max is $90 a month, and the fee is already 0% one tier below at $30. You are paying $60 a month extra for Google Workspace, white-glove onboarding, prioritized support, a physical NFC card, and access to VIP events.

Google Workspace on its own is a few dollars a seat. The real product here is the service layer: someone to set the account up and someone who answers when it breaks. That has value if you are running a business on the platform and cannot afford a week of silence from support. For a solo creator, it is a poor deal against paying $30 and buying Workspace directly.
