Is Stan Store Legit? Yes, With Two Limits (2026)

Nov 3, 2026

Is Stan Store legit? Yes. Stan Store is a real, paid creator storefront with two published plans, Creator at $29 a month and Creator Pro at $99, and it takes 0% of your sales beyond card processing. It has no free plan, only a 14-day trial, and your store can never live at your own domain. It pays for itself once you sell roughly $156 to $322 a month, depending on the tool you compare it with.

Disclosure: Linkero, a paid link-in-bio tool, is ours. It appears once below, in the section on what Stan does not do.

Is Stan Store legit as a company?

Stan sells a storefront subscription and publishes its terms where you can read them. Its pricing page lists both plans and says outright that the trial is "not a free plan." Its help centre answers the awkward questions too, including the one creators usually ask too late: you cannot put the store on your own domain.

Both pages answered normally when we checked them on 29 October 2026. Stan's strongest fit is selling courses, digital products and bookings, because the storefront, courses, bookings, subscriptions and lead magnets all ship in the $29 Creator plan.

How does Stan Store pay you?

Your sales run through Stripe or PayPal, which charge their usual processing of about 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction. Stan itself takes 0% on both plans (verified 4 September 2026). Creator Pro adds Stan Payments, with Afterpay and Klarna for buyers who want to pay in instalments.

We have not verified Stan's payout schedule, meaning how long money takes to reach your bank, so we quote none. Before your first launch, search Stan's help centre for "payout" and read its own answer.

How much is Stan Store a month?

  • Creator: $29 a month, or $300 a year ($25 a month, saving $48).
  • Creator Pro: $99 a month, or $948 a year ($79 a month, saving $240).
  • Trial: 14 days, then you pay. Source: Stan's pricing page, checked 4 September 2026.

The step from Creator to Creator Pro is $70 a month, or $840 a year at monthly billing. It buys selling tools rather than a bigger store: discount codes, upsells and funnels, affiliate management, email flows, and pixel tracking for Meta, Google, Pinterest and TikTok. Our Stan Store pricing breakdown covers each plan line by line.

Is Stan Store safe? What do reviews complain about?

Stan has a Trustpilot page. Our check on 29 October 2026 hit Trustpilot's connection-verification wall (HTTP 403), so we quote no score. Read the page yourself and sort by most recent before you decide.

The loudest complaint on Google's first page is a Reddit post in r/InstagramMarketing titled "Stan stole over $3000 from me." It is one creator's report, not a verified finding, and we cannot check the account behind it. Treat it as a reason to read the payout terms first, not as proof that Stan withholds money.

The more useful warning signs come from Stan's own pages, both read on 4 September 2026:

  • Its earnings claim does not match itself. The pricing page says creators have earned "over $400 million"; the vs-Linktree page says "over $600M+". Until Stan reconciles them, treat neither number as fact.
  • Its Linktree comparison is one-sided. Stan compares itself only with Linktree's Free tier and its 12% fee, and never mentions that Linktree Premium also charges 0%. The savings are real against Free; the page says nothing about the rest.

Neither is a scam signal. Both are marketing that rounds in Stan's favour, which is the reason to run the numbers against your own sales.

Is Stan Store worth it?

It is once your sales clear the crossover. A fee-taking plan stays cheaper until its percentage of your sales exceeds the price gap, so divide the price difference by the fee rate to find the crossover. Card processing is the same on every tool here and cancels out.

Your current plan (price + platform fee)Monthly sales where Stan Creator ($29, 0%) gets cheaper
Linktree Free ($0 + 12%)about $242
Linktree Starter ($8 + 9%)about $233
Linktree Pro ($15 + 9%)about $156
Linktree Premium ($35 + 0%)never: Stan is $6 cheaper at every sales level
Beacons Free ($0 + 9%)about $322
Beacons Creator ($10 + 9%)about $211

Stan prices verified 4 September 2026. Linktree USD prices last verified 2 July 2026, its fee ladder 30 September 2026. Beacons verified 14 August 2026.

One caveat on Beacons: above about $222 a month, a Beacons seller saves money on Creator Plus ($30, 0%), so the real high-volume choice is $29 against $30, settled on features. Beacons vs Stan Store sets that matchup out, and Stan Store vs Linktree runs the whole Linktree ladder.

Below those lines, Stan costs more than what you already have. If you are not selling yet, $29 a month buys an empty store; our comparison of a link-in-bio store vs an aggregator helps you tell which one you need.

What Stan Store does not do

Two limits hold on both plans, the $99 one included:

  • No custom domain. Stan's help article "Can I Create a Custom Domain for My Stan Store?" says: "As of now, you cannot create or embed a custom domain into your Stan Store. Your Stan Store URL will be stan.store/yourusername." A second article, "How Do I Change My Domain?", adds that the URL "will always remain Stan.store/yourusername." Domain forwarding is the only workaround (help-centre search, verified 2 September 2026).
  • Nothing after the trial without paying. Once the 14 days end, you pay whether or not you sell.

If the address matters more than the checkout, you need a different kind of tool. Linkero, a link-in-bio page builder, includes a custom domain on both paid plans, Pro and Agency, and takes no cut of sales because it has no checkout at all: you link out to wherever you sell. Stan Store vs Linkero compares the two, and our guide to a link in bio on a custom domain covers the setup.

Pick Stan if you sell courses, digital products or bookings and want the checkout built in; Linkero cannot take a payment. Pick Linkero if your page mostly sends people elsewhere and it has to live at yourname.com.

FAQ

Is the STAN app real or fake?

Stan Store is real. Its pricing page and help centre both loaded normally when we checked on 29 October 2026, and it publishes two plans with prices. As with any tool you pay for, check that you are on stan.store before you enter card details.

Does Stan Store take a percentage?

No. Stan charges a 0% platform fee on Creator and Creator Pro (verified 4 September 2026). Stripe or PayPal still take about 2.9% + $0.30 per sale.

Can I use my own domain on Stan Store?

No. Stan's help article "Can I Create a Custom Domain for My Stan Store?" says you cannot, and your URL stays stan.store/yourusername. Stan lists custom domains among feature requests "on our radar," with no date.

Should you sign up?

Whether Stan Store is legit is settled; whether it is worth $29 to you comes down to one number. Add up last month's sales, find your current plan in the crossover table, and compare. Below the line, stay where you are. Above it, start Stan's trial in a week when you launch something, so the 14 days cover real sales instead of an empty store.
